To be released beginning on September 3, 2019. The release will be published in batches over the space of several days to ensure stability. Consequently, some changes may not appear on your account until after the release date.

The Version 7.3 release includes the following changes and enhancements.

Newsletter manager role

A new role of newsletter manager has been added. Newsletter managers can create and send manual emails (e.g. newsletters). They can email any contacts, view email drafts and scheduled emails, and create or modify email templates. Newsletter managers can access the email log, but will only see manual emails, not automatic system emails. On their Dashboard, newsletter managers can view the latest manual emails. 

Newsletter managers cannot modify a contact's email settings, cannot create advanced searches, cannot set up CC emails or routing of systems, and cannot customize event emails, or invoices or receipts. 

Store manager role

A new role of store manager has been added. Store managers can add and modify products on your online store, and view, fulfill, or cancel store orders. They can also view a list of the latest unfulfilled orders on their Dashboard. 

Store managers cannot add or modify deliver options, modify store emails, or set store payment methods.

Support for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)

As of September 14th, 2019, a payment regulation called Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is becoming mandatory for organizations based within the European Economic Area (EEA), an area that encompasses the European Union plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. In this release, Wild Apricot is adding SCA support for Stripe. SCA support is already in place for PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal Payments Standard. If you are based in the EEA and accept online payments, we recommend you use one of these payment providers.  

Bug fixes

A number of issues identified by our clients have been fixed, including but not limited to the following:

  • Label displays incorrect character limits for payment instructions
  • Recurring profile created for bundle member
  • Email with large number of recipients produces internal error
  • Changes to event on admin app enables taxes for the event
